India captain Virat Kohli and his England counterpart Joe Root on Tuesday unveiled the Pataudi Trophy at Edgbaston ahead of the five-Test series starting on Wednesday.
After that the Indian captain walked down to the pitch to have an inspaction.
India had last won a Test series in England in 2007. The last time that they came to this neck of the woods, in 2014, they were thoroughly beaten despite drawing first blood with a win at Lord's.
