Bee attack during India A vs England Lions match, fans hospitalised

Thiruvananthapuram: Nine people were hospitalised after honey bees attacked them during a cricket match between India A and England Lions. The injured fans were taken to Ananthapuri hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The incident happened at the Karyavattom Greenfield Stadium on January 29 at around 11 am. No players, officials or support staff were affected by the bee attack.

The bees attacked after someone pelted stones at the beehive seen in an isolated part of the gallery. The match was temporarily stopped for nearly 15 minutes.
