Six women posing as devotees steal money at Melukote temple premises, arrested

Melukote: Six women posing as devotees stole money from a woman's purse in Melukote temple premises, Karnataka. The incident occurred at Cheluvanarayanaswamy temple premises when these women stole Rs 1 lakh from the purse of a devotee Malini, who had come to the temple from Bengaluru. She had Rs 1 lakh in cash, $ 500 and an ATM card in her bag. But the theft was captured on CCTV. As soon as Malini informed about missing money to her husband, he caught three women trying to escape in an autorickshaw. Police are searching for the other three women.
