Vande Bharat Express superior to other trains

Speaking to MyNation, the driver of Train 18, renamed as Vande Bharat Express, said that visibility is no issue for the Delhi-Varanasi route ― more so because he will soon have the facility of looking at the path ahead on a GPS-enabled screen rather than through the train's windshield.

The headlights of the train are powerful enough to pierce through fog, the driver said, adding he is still learning the other weather-adjustment mechanisms Vande Bharat Express is equipped with.

The driver said that the Rajdhani Express that he used to run earlier had six traction motors while Vande Bharat Express has 32. This, he says, gives the Made-in-India train a superior braking system. The accelerator is better too, he said.
