TTV Dhinakaran’s supporters clash with RK Nagar residents, situation tense after stone pelting

 MLA TTV Dhinakaran's visit to RK Nagar led to a tense situation on Wednesday (18 July) as his supporters clashed with the local residents.

 After the clashes erupted, there was stone pelting too and the situation turned to worse. The police rushed to the spot and safely took RK Nagar MLA Dhinakaran out of the area.

 The locals are alleged to be the supporters of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami (EPS) and are said to be angry at I-T raids conducted on EPS' relative recently.

 The shopkeepers downed the shutters and there was a bandh-like situation in the area.
