Karnataka: Truck-car collision in Belagavi claims six family member's lives

Belagavi: In a tragic incident, seven people, including six of a family, died in an accident near Nippani town on Saturday after their car collided on to a truck. The injured truck driver, a native of Tamil Nadu, was rushed to a hospital in Kolhapur for treatment but breathed his last en route.

According to the police report, the tragic incident occurred after a front tyre of the truck burst, following which its driver lost control and rammed into a Wagon R car coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased are Dilawar Jamadar (64), Rahina Jamadar (58), Afrin Jamadar (33), Juned Khan Jamadar (30), Mohseen Jamadar (36), Ayan Jamadar (7) and the truck driver who is yet to be identified.
