Telangana farmers stage special protest against revenue department in Karimnagar (Video)

Farmers protested against the revenue department at old Karimnagar district in Telangana in the most unique manner. Farmers burned snakes and ate them because the revenue department didn't provide them with a passbook. The passbook is important for the farmer as that will help him avail Rythu Bandhu scheme announced by the government. K Chandrasekhar-led government is providing 58.33 lakh farmers, Rs 4000 per acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, wherein the cash is paid directly.
