Chennai: A tragic road accident was witnessed in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. The incident came to light on Friday after the CCTV footage of the accident was released on Tuesday.
A 30-year-old school teacher was crushed to death when a lorry ran over her and collided against a government bus in Kancheepuram. The deceased has been identified as Sophia (30). She was a native of Nelvai near Uthiramerur. She was working as a private school teacher in Chengalpattu. The investigation revealed that as the lorry was exiting a narrow road perpendicular to the direction of the bus, the driver had applied the brakes, but the vehicle did not stop.
