Tamil Nadu Budget 2019: Panneerselvam’s presentation draws mixed reactions

The Tamil Nadu Budget 2019 focused predominantly on welfare and developmental schemes. The state allocated Rs 1,700 crore for the construction of concrete houses to those affected by the cyclone Gaja. While some people of the state seem happy with the budget, some others have gone on to say that it only seems like a political stunt ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Right after the presentation of the Budget, DMK supremo addressed the media, slamming the government for allegedly ignoring the people of the state.
