SFI leader Abhimanyu's death in Kerala makes us question college politics

Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and Campus Front activists attacked and murdered a Students Federation of India (SFI) leader at Maharaja’s College hostel in Ernakulam on July 2. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Abhimanyu, an SFI district committee member from Idukki district, Kerala. Abhimanyu was in college on 1 July for the freshers’ welcome party arrangements. But there was a fight between SFI – Campus Front activists over pasting a poster to welcome the new students. This incident led to violence in the campus and Abhimanyu was stabbed. In this aftermath of this murder, college students from Kerala voice their concerns regarding college politics.
