Sardar Sarovar Project-affected villagers got most progressive package: Jayaprakash Narayan of Lok Satta Party

Gandhinagar: As PM Modi gets ready to unveil the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, protests are being planned by some of those allegedly part of the Narmada Bachao Andolan. Jayaprakash Narayan of Lok Satta Party was part of the committee that surveyed villages on the banks of Narmada and found that the 'grievances' that Medha Patkar's Narmada Bachao Andolan cry hoarse about were baseless. All villagers, who were displaced due to the Sardar Sarovar Project have been adequately compensated, he said. Watch this exclusive interview with Narayan as he talks about the project and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
