Sabarimala temple's new chief priest: I will follow rules set by Devaswom Board (Exclusive)

Speaking to MyNation exclusively, VN Vasudhevan Namboothiri, newly appointed Melshanti (chief priest) of the Sabarimala Temple has said that he will follow the rules set by the Devaswom Board. The stand becomes important in the wake of women trying to enter the temple, following the Supreme Court's rule. The new chief priest, who is based out of Bengaluru, will take charge as Melshanti on November 1. In fact, he had applied for the position two times earlier, but has been accepted at a crucial time this year. Currently, he is the chief priest of the Ayyappa temple in Jalahalli, Bengaluru. He has also spoken about why women should not enter the temple.
