Bengaluru: One of the rebel MLAs from the Congress, Ramesh Jarkiholi, who had been untraceable for the last few days was seen exiting Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on the intervening night of Feb 12 and 13.

Some reports claim that Ramesh Jarkiholi and Mahesh Kumathalli, two of the four rebel MLAs are expected to join the Congress in the upcoming days. On the other hand, former chief minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah took to Twitter to state that he has filed a petition before the Hon'ble speaker seeking the disqualification of the 4 rebel MLAs namely, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Mahesh Kumathalli, Nagendra and Umesh Jadhav, under the anti-defection Law.

The four MLAs had skipped the CLP meeting that was held on January 18 in Vidhana Soudha. This was meant to be a show of strength after the BJP allegedly tried to dislodge the coalition government.
