Chennai: Rajinikanth finally took a stand on the mahagathbandhan and took the side of the BJP. Rajini said that if there is a group of opposition parties getting together to fight the BJP, one can imagine the strength of the latter.
The actor-turned-politician also clarified on his statement on Monday that had created some ripples in the political circles. When asked about the mahagathbandhan and if the BJP was a threat to democracy, he said, "If they think so, it must be true." Rajini clarified that he had intended to mean that the BJP must be a threat to the opposition parties, if they think so.
