Purushothaman, who was determined to create his own world record, had been practising karate for the last 8 years.
A high school student, Purushothaman from Mogappair in Chennai scripted history by creating a new record. He reportedly broke 207 tiles in 56 seconds, after which he received an award from the Guinness Book of World Records.
