Wayanad: The mortal remains of Kerala’s VV Vasanthakumar, who was martyred in the Pulwama terror attack on Friday, reached Karipur near Kozhikode.
Vasanthakumar was among the 40 CRPF personnel who were martyred when they were on their way to Srinagar. The CRPF convoy was attacked by a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist. The mortal remains of Vasanthakumar arrived at the Karipur airport at around 2.30 pm on Saturday.
The mortal remains will be taken to Wayanad and homage will be paid at Government LP School, Lakkidi, Wayanad. The funeral will be held in Mukkamkunnu in Thrikkaipeta village with full state honours.
