Pulwama: CRPF jawan of Tofapur in Varanasi, Ramesh Yadav, was one of the jawans killed in an attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.
Ramesh Yadav is survived by a wife of five years and was talking to her just minutes before the dastardly attack took place. Reports suggest that the family heard a loud noise before a deafening static in the phone line.

Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh lost two soldiers to the barbaric attack. One of the victims' sister said that she had seen her brother four months ago and now she will never be able to see him ever.

“I have sacrificed a son in Mother India’s service, I will send my other son as well to fight, ready to give him up for Mother India, but Pakistan must be given a befitting reply,” father of slain jawan Ratan Thakur said. Most family members seek revenge requesting the Indian government to send out strong message. While one jawan belonged to Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, some hailed from Moga and Gurdaspur in Punjab.

The number of Jawans killed from Tamil Nadu has gone up by one. The family of Sivachandran in Tamil Nadu's Ariyalur district has been informed just a couple of hours, before this article was published about his death.

India is mourning the deaths of over 40 CRPF jawans, who were martyred in the dastardly terror attack. Families of the slain jawans have not yet been able to comprehend the loss of their loved ones.

Banned Pakistani terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the attack in Pulwama’s Awantipora area. The attack took place after a suicide bomber in an SUV car loaded with 350 kilograms of explosives rammed into a convoy carrying over 2500 CRPF troops on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
