Prime Minister Modi serves poor children in Vrindavan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed 300 crore-plates of food to poor school children at Vrindavan Chokodha Mandir as a part of a program organised by the Akshaya Patra Foundation.

The Prime Minister also offered a wreath to the Acharya of ISKCON - Swami Prabhupada there.

Akshaya Patra Foundation is an NGO that works with the government to run the mid-day meal scheme in government schools. It was established in the year 2000. This foundation provides food to more than 10 lakh children in 14702 schools across 12 states.
