Newborn baby abandoned in Karnataka farm develops respiratory problems

A newborn baby was found abandoned in a farm near Honnannahalli village, Tumakuru, Karnataka, around 6 AM on Tuesday. A resident of Honnannahalli, who was passing through the farm, heard the cries of a child. He found a newborn in the farm and immediately took the baby home. Later, he consulted the doctor in the village. The infant is suffering from respiratory problems and is being treated at the Special Neonatal Care Centre at Tumakuru district hospital. A case has been registered with the Tumakuru city police station and the Children's Welfare Committee will take care of the child.
