Milk laced with chemicals poisoning Kolkata: City hasn’t woken up to menace

Deadly chemicals are used to thicken milk that are then being served in and around Kolkata. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that such a concern has been raised. In 2013, Bengal Engineering and Science University (Besu) tested some milk samples and found adulterants like cane sugar, cellulose and sodium chloride (salt).
