MEP’s Lala Naik speaks against Siddaramaiah, gets arrested

Lala Naik had  recorded a video where he is  insulting former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and his community (Kurubas) and had released it on social media. The video went viral and a case was filed against Naik by the Kuruba leaders. Lala Naik had contested in the recently-held Assembly elections from Maski constituency representing MEP. He had lost the election and had recorded this video to allegedly become popular. Naik has been arrested by West Police Station, Bengaluru. Naik was presented before the magistrate Anil Kumar and has been remanded to judicial custody till November 17.
