Mangaluru mob violence: Man tied to pole, beaten for distributing chocolates (video)

In another case of mob violence, a 45-year-old man from Mangaluru, Karnataka, was tied to a pole and beaten up by a mob suspecting him to be child-lifter as he was distributing chocolates to kids. The man, identified as Hamza, is a money lender and had gone to the city to collect his weekly payments. While waiting for his payment, Hamza saw few kids playing and distributed chocolates to them. The locals misunderstood him as child-lifter and tied him to a pole and beat him up. A case has been registered.
