Koppal: School children forced to transport cans of water on push cart

Koppal: Children studying in Madinur Government Higher Primary school in Koppal, Karnataka, are forced by teachers to transport water cans on a push cart from a distant place every day. Students said that they don't have an option to oppose this as the teachers allegedly tell the children that as the water is for their own consumption, they would need to fetch it. If they do not comply, students are pinched and beaten up. It is said that the school’s head master Narayanappa has asked students to work in shifts and fetch at least six big cans of water to school at a time.
