Cops had allegedly arrived, accompanied by some CPI(M) workers, at the residence of an ABVP activist who was identified during the Sabarimala protests. When they couldn't find him at home, they killed his cat and left behind its severed head as a message warning him against showing his solidarity with Lord Ayyappa's devotees.
Thiruvananthapuram: An image of a severed head of a cat has gone viral on Twitter.
On October 26, in Kerala, cops arrested more than 2,061 devotees, who had been protesting against the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala. An identified face in the lookout notice was that of Gokuldas of Mangalapuram, Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala.
Gokul was not at home when the cops accompanied by a group of CPI(M) workers arrived, say sources. They beheaded his cat and left the severed head behind as a stern message against his show of solidarity with the devotees of Lord Ayyappa.

Detractors of the Sangh Parivar allege that this photograph of the cat is morphed.
Many have expressed shock and outrage at the crime allegedly committed by some CPI(M) workers in collusion with the police. The CPI(M)-led LDF government has been facing the wrath of many devotees, thanks to Vijayan's stern orders of implementing the verdict of the apex court.

According to some netizens, Gokul is an Akhil Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) worker. And they allege that goons of the ruling party attacked his residence at Mangalapuram, Attingal.
