Kerala nun rape: Investigation team trying to frame Franco Mulakkal, alleges PC George MLA

Synopsis

Recently, Kerala MLA PC George made a controversial statement and called the nun a prostitute.  

Kottayam: In a press conference in Kottayam, Kerala MLA PC George said the investigation team is "trying to frame" Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who is accused of raping a nun 13 times between 2014 and 2016.

The MLA claimed that he has photograph and videos of the victim nun with Franko Mulakkal on the days after the alleged incident. He also said that the nun is seen happy and pleasant in the photographs. And he said since it is forbidden by law, he is not showing those photos in the press conference. 

He then said if anyone has any doubts about the date of photographs, then he is ready to submit the visuals before the investigation team. He also stressed that one of the investigating officials is trying to frame Franco Mulakkal.

Recently, George made a controversial statement and called the nun a prostitute. "No one has doubt that the nun is a prostitute. Twelve times she enjoyed it and the 13th time it is rape? Why didn't she complain the first time? (sic)," he had said on September 9.

The investigation was conducted for a period of three days, and Franko Mulakkal is expected to be arrested on Friday evening.
