Kerala nun rape case: Actor Dileep’s former advocate to appear for Franco Mulakkal in court

Synopsis

It has been hinted that the police will request the court to take him in custody for three days. The bishop will submit a bail-plea in court.

Kottayam: Race accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who was admitted in Kottayam Medical College ICU due to blood pressure variation was discharged on Saturday morning.  He was booed by the people as he came out of the hospital.

Advocate B Raman Pillai will appear for Mulakkal in the sexual abuse case lodged by a nun. Raman Pillai had earlier appeared for actor Dileep in the actress assault case. It has been hinted that the police will request the court to take him in custody for three days. The bishop will submit a bail plea in the court. He was arrested on Friday.

He was then shifted to the police club in strong security. He will be presented before the judicial first class magistrate court in Pala. He will be subjected to another detailed medical evaluation in Kottayam General Hospital.

The bishop was brought to the police club by the cops, led by investigation officer Vaikkom, Deputy Superintendent of Police K Subhash. He was discharged since the doctors did not find any medical issues in the evaluation conducted in the morning.
