The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has contributed towards the relief fund for Kerala and Kodagu floods. Bengaluru Mayor Sampath Raj announced that Rs 3.5 crore has been collected so far. He said that Rs two crore fund was from BBMP and Rs 1.5 crore from one day salary of BBMP workers. During a meeting, BBMP workers expressed their displeasure over BBMP mayor not consulting the workers union. However, the workers union has decided to supply 50 bags of rice to Kodagu for 'Ganji Kendra'. Mysuru Deputy Commissioner D Randeep has been appointed to oversee the relief works. Various items collected from people will be stored in BBMP Glasshouse and will later be transported to flood relief camps.
