Incessant rain continued to lash and people stranded in the flood are being rescued by the Indian Air Force, through its chartered choppers. The mother and child were standing on the roof, when wing commander Prasanth of Garud Special Force of IAF used the rope to fetch them and winched the mother and the child and brought them safely inside the chopper. They were taken to a safe place. Chopper is the only option remaining in many places as the regions are cut off from all other means of transport.
