Kerala floods: Thousands offer Bali Tharpanam on roads instead of rivers as part of rituals for ancestors (Video)

Karkidaka Vavu Bali is a ritual of paying homage to ancestors. Due to heavy rains in the state of Kerala, thousands have to pay homage on roads in Aluva. The Shiva temple in the area is now submerged on the first day of floods.
