Kerala: 2 Youth Congress workers hacked to death in Kasaragod

Kanhangad: Two Youth Congress workers were hacked to death in a conflict with CPM at Kallyot, Periya near Kasaragod in Kerala. The victims were identified as Kallyot natives Kripesh, 21 and Sarath Lal, 27.

The incident happened at around 8:30 PM on Sunday. The victims, who were on a motorcycle, were hacked to death by a group of persons that came in a car. Kripesh died on the way to the hospital and Sarath passed away on his way to Mangalore. Youth Congress has called for a statewide hartal on Monday from 6 AM to 6 PM.

The Congress alleged that CPM activists were behind the attack. The police said they had launched an investigation.
