Kasargod: As soon as CPI(M) Periya local area committee member A Peethambaran confessed to the police that he plotted the killings of two Youth Congress workers over personal rivalry, his wife and daughter made startling revelations in the twin murder case in Kasargod, Kerala.  Peethambaran's wife Manju said that he wouldn't have committed the crime without party's knowledge.

She also said to media that when he was attacked, all the party workers came home and helped. Now in such a crucial situation, nobody helped the family and suspended him from the party, she added.

Meanwhile, Peethambaran's daughter Devika said that her father was expelled from the party just because of the upcoming Lok Sabha election. If the party fails to expel him, then the party won't get votes. And the party will gain a bad image, said Devika.

Sarath and Kripesh, the two Youth Congress workers, were hacked to death at Kallyot, Periya, near Kasaragod, on February 17.
