Karnataka temple manager's wife arrested in food poisoning case

Chamarajanagar: In a major breakthrough in the temple prasad poisoning case in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar, the police officials have alleged that the wife of the temple's manager committed the crime. So far, 15 people have died after eating the prasad while 104 are hospitalised in Mysuru and Tamil Nadu’s Salem. The accused is identified as Ambika, wife of Kuchuguththi Maramma temple manager, Madesh.

According to reports, it is said that Ambika got the ‘instructions’ to contaminate the temple food with pesticides from a junior seer of a prominent mata.
