Karnataka: Priyank Kharge proposes 5-day week work schedule, believes it will increase govt sector's efficiency (Video)

Karnataka Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge has mooted five-day work per week for six lakh state government staff, and favoured pruning public holidays. Kharge, in his two-page letter addressed to Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy  on September 29, stated that his suggestion is in line with the sixth pay commission’s recommendations. However, a response for the same from Kumaraswamy is awaited.
