Bengaluru: A 5-year-old leopard was spotted sneaking into the ITC factory campus in the outskirts of Bengaluru on Sunday evening and was successfully captured later in the night. The cat was relocated to Bannerghatta National Park on Monday.

According to sources, the forest department was alerted when people spotted the leopard near the ITC campus on Sunday evening. Yelahanka Range forest officials reached the area where the leopard was spotted and placed a cage in the factory premises.

The forests officials said that the rescue operation was carried out safely since there was no crowd. They also alleged that the leopard was from the nearby Nandi Hills forest area or Jarakabande Kaval.
