Karnataka: District judge orders death penalty for rape accused after 45 days of hearing (Video)

On August 1, 2018, class 10 girl was found dead under a railway bridge in Malur, Karnataka. The Malur police, led by Kolar Superintendent of Police Rohini Katoch Sepat, had arrested Suresh Kumar (25) as he had tried to rape a minor girl and later killed her. On Saturday (September 15), the 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge in the city, Justice BS Rekha, issued death penalty for the accused. The court took 45 days to hear the arguments before announcing the judgment.
