Karnataka – Disabled woman waiting for 4 years to receive Rs 500 pension

A disabled student named Geeta, who is an orphan, is made to wait for four years to receive her monthly pension of Rs 500, which has now accumulated to Rs 20,000. Geeta, who was born at a government hospital, was adopted by a poor Hindu family. Later, she was forced to get married at a very early age. However, she managed to escape from the family and to make a living, started begging at Majestic bus station in Bengaluru.
