Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy presented the budget on February 8 without issuing copies of it to the opposition. BJP took offence and staged a protest outside the Assembly at Vidhana Soudha's premises. Kumaraswamy also released an audio clip blaming BJP of indulging in Operation Lotus. BJP leader Yeddyurappa called it 'fake'. The Congress has also decided to suspend the four rebel MLAs of the party.
