Watch: Why people asked Jyotiraditya Scindia to change his name

Nov 24, 2018, 3:01 PM IST

Jyotiraditya Scindia was left red-faced on Friday when a challenge he threw at a TV reporter backfired. During an interview with a news channel inside a cab that Scindia was travelling in, the journalist sought the Congress leader's reaction to Kamal Nath's statement that the Congress would face defeat unless 90% of Muslims voted for the party. Rather than tendering an apology on behalf of his colleague who appealed for votes on communal lines, Scindia dared the journalist to prove his claim. Scindia did not stop there. He said he would change his name if the journalist could prove what he said.

The journalist proved what he had claimed and the video of the interview went viral. Will Jyotiraditya Scindia change his name, people asked Scindia the whole day on Twitter while hashtag #NaamBadloMaharaj trended.
