I-T officials raid minister Veeramani’s house and other places in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: The Income Tax officials on Thursday carried out raids at 31 places in Tamil Nadu. According to reports, the raids were conducted on suspicion of tax evasion. The raids were held in the premises of real estate business people in Katpadi, a milk factory and other places in Chennai.

Earlier, reports stated that the raids were taking place at the residence of commercial taxes and registration minister KC Veeramani in Vellore. The raids were carried out as a major crackdown on several private entities including restaurants and food chains.
