Kerala's CPI(M) leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan questioned why Chaitra Teresa John didn't arrest even one accused. He even warned officers not to try such stunts with the government.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI(M)  state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan criticised Chaitra Teresa John, superintendent of police in Kerala, who raided the ruling party's district office in search of the DYFI (the party's youth wing) workers. Those workers had allegedly pelted stones at Medical College police station in Thiruvananthapuram.

He also said to media that what she did is for cheap publicity otherwise she could have arrested at least one of the accused from the office. He then stated that officers shouldn't try such stunts with the government.
