Indradhanush sold illegally: Amulet seller caught trading in endangered species

The Bengaluru police caught a trader from city market selling 130 endangered sea fans which are also called Indradhanush. According to police, Madhu Kumar, who sells amulets, was arrested near RMC Yard in Yeshwanthpur. The police say that Kumar was in touch with a trader from Mathura in UP, who allegedly got 130 such items. These sea fans will be in white and red in colour and when taken out from the sea or ocean, they die and turn green. The sources posed as buyers and tipped the police about the operation. The perpetrator is booked under wildlife protection act.
