In this exclusive interview with MyNation, Madhya Pradesh revenue and science & technology minister, Umashankar Gupta says that the state government faces no anti-incumbency. Gupta enumerated the 'achievements' of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government, particularly those in the infrastructure sector. The minister rubbished the Congress's allegation that there was a law-and-order crisis in the state.

Gupta also recalled how 'horrifying' the pre-2003 era of Congress rule used to be.

However, on surveying the constituency of Gupta, it came to light that the voters are not satisfied with his work and feel he may lose the election. They were confident that the BJP would continue in power and that the Congress had little chance of staging a comeback.
