Ramanathapuram: Addressing party workers in Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu, BJP president Amit Shah said that the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state is a fight between corruption and development.

He also asked the BJP cadre that they should work hard to defeat the DMK-Congress combine and ensure victory in all the 39 seats in the state and one in Puducherry.

He asked the BJP cadre not to get discouraged for getting only five seats in the AIADMK-led alliance. He said they should not forget that victory in all the seats would strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and help NDA to retain power.

He dared DMK president MK Stalin and Congress president Rahul Gandhi to give an account of their contribution to Tamil Nadu’s development during the previous UPA regime and said they only have accounts for corruption.

He then said the DMK-Congress means corruption whereas the BJP meant development. Shah maintained that Modi had allocated five times more funding for a string of infrastructure projects in the state.
