New Delhi: If a half-hearted statement was not enough, the Editors' Guild of India has now stayed away from an event at the Press Club of India to remember Achyutanand Sahu, the video journalist of Doordarshan, who was killed in cold blood by the Maoists in Chhatisgarh's Dantewada, earlier this week.

Senior Doordarshan anchor and news presenter Ashok Shrivastava lashed out at the way the division within the media has come out in the open following this incident. He not only questioned the duplicity of a section of the media that extends support based on the victim’s affiliation, but also warned that he will soon come out with a comprehensive list exposing senior journalists and their double standards.
