After flying over 8 countries in 8 days, Dakota DC 3 makes it to the postal stamps. The new stamps of ‘Parashurama’ aka Dakota DC 3 was released in Bengaluru's General Post Office today.
Bengaluru: Rajeev Chandrashekhar, MP, gifted a Dakota DC-3 to the Indian Air Force after buying the aircraft in 2011. It took over 6 years to restore it back to flying condition and on April 26, 2018, after crossing 8 countries over 8 days, it landed at the Hindon Air Force Station, Utter Pradesh. The new stamps of ‘Parashurama’ aka Dakota DC 3 was released in Bengaluru's General Post Office today.
