Corporal punishment: Students carry mobile phones to NCC class, face Army-like disciplinary action(Video)

The trainees of NCC, who were using their phones during their sessions, were punished severely. NCC instructor Lawarance Prasanna of Kolar Government First Grade College, Karnataka, who was upset with the students for using their cell phones, made them kneel down with head facing the floor and hands locked behind. This is the nature of punishment one normally associates with the training of recruits that become soldiers in the Indian Army. As the NCC is supposed to, among other things, instill in students Army-like discipline, the trainer might have deemed it fit to give them a taste of the real, gruelling training that builds a soldier. The pictures of students getting punished went viral.
