Chennai man hacked to death in broad daylight; murder caught on CCTV

Chennai: A man was hacked to death by an armed gang near Arumbakkam College in broad daylight in Chennai on Monday. The incident was captured on CCTV camera. The victim is identified as Kumaresan, who had come to a court in Poonamallee in the murder case of a man named Yuvaraj. The 37-year-old Kumaresan also has a few other criminal charges against him including murder cases at Chetpet and Choolaimedu. After attending the court proceedings, Kumaresan went to a nearby hotel at 11.20 AM to have breakfast. At this time, five men with sickles entered the hotel and started chasing Kumaresan who ran out of the hotel. He was hacked to death 50 metres away from a private college in Arumbakkam.
