Bharat Bandh: Public transport not affected in Udupi, holiday declared to schools and colleges

Udupi: In the wake of Bharat bandh called by the trade unions, schools and colleges have declared holiday by the Udupi district administration. However, In the morning, government buses in the city as well as buses to Mangaluru and other places were seen on road as usual. Private buses that are in more numbers than government buses are not plying today. Though private buses were not seen on the road, private bus owners have not lent their support to the strike as an association. Private bus staffers have voluntarily decided to stop their services for the day. Autorickshaws were also seen on the road.
