Bengaluru: The chief secretary of National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, Rajesh, was brutally attacked last Friday at Nagawara in Bengaluru, around 10 pm. The attacker has been identified as Suman, the son of a police constable who works at the Bengaluru Police commissioner’s office.

Though a case has been filed in this regard, there are allegations that the police have invoked only section 326(d) of the IPC which pertains itself to dacoity instead of section 307(d) which deals with attempt to murder.

The accused Suman works in a food delivery company.
