Bengaluru: IAF's Mirage 2000 aircraft crashes, both pilots dead

Bengaluru: A Mirage 2000 trainer fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed near the HAL airport in Bengaluru at 10.30 AM, on Friday. Both pilots ejected but one landed on the wreckage of the aircraft and died, according to reports. Another pilot was  taken to a hospital but according to latest reports he succumbed to his injuries. However, additional police commissioner, east zone, Bengaluru, Seemath Kumar Singh said that he cannot confirm the casualties. It was a test sortie. Mirage developed a technical snag while take off and hit the wall near LCA gate at Yemlur. More details are awaited.
